There is an ever-increasing demand on successful M&E Businesses – especially those that have a great reputation, to deliver projects on time as well as responding to high volume seasonal equipment breakdowns.
For smallerM&E Businesses its commonplace for the Owner, MD and Directors to have “been on the tools” and therefore have a hands-on mentality. This is often a mistake as they should be working on the business not in it.
In today’s busy M&E environment, successful contractors probably don’t have a problem getting the work in, you do however have to make sure you keep your current customers happy, and unless you have a great team around you, then it falls down on you as the owner, CEO, MD or senior Director to get stuck in to help out, which is not what you should be doing.
